Hi, I’m Mayra Barry—Christian historical fiction author, believer, and lover of heartfelt stories.
Growing up, I was the quiet girl with a big imagination and a love for words. My journey as a writer began with a secondhand typewriter and a simple childhood story that earned my mother’s praise. From that moment, I discovered that even if I struggled to speak my thoughts aloud, I could pour my heart into writing.
I officially became an author after a vivid dream in 2020—one I truly believe was a gift from God. After praying about its meaning, I felt led to turn that dream into a novel inspired by faith, love, and biblical themes. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to writing Christian historical fiction that weaves adventure, redemption, and hope through each book.
My books are for readers young and old who are searching for meaning, hope, and a reminder that God’s grace is always present—even in the storms of life. I aim to create stories that uplift, inspire, and remind us all that forgiveness and new beginnings are possible.
When I’m not writing, I enjoy creating organic skincare (heavenlyorganics.net), spending time with my family, and soaking up the beauty of Pennsylvania’s countryside.
